Website terms

Useful guidance, with sensible boundaries.

Terms governing use of Powered Journal, including the limits of general electrical information and use of its original content.

Last updated 4 September 2026

Using the journal

Powered Journal provides general information about electrical work, planning and safety. You may use the public pages for personal, non-commercial reference.

Not property-specific advice

An article cannot inspect wiring, test protective devices or account for every feature of a property. The journal is not a substitute for an appropriate survey, electrical inspection, quotation or emergency advice. Do not carry out electrical work solely because a general article appears relevant to your circumstances.

Accuracy and availability

We take reasonable care with our writing and show important sources, but standards, official guidance, products and circumstances change. We may correct, update, withdraw or reorganise content, and we cannot promise uninterrupted availability.

Copyright and sharing

Unless stated otherwise, the writing, original photographs and design of Powered Journal belong to Powered Electrical Contractors Ltd. You may share links and quote brief passages with clear attribution. Republishing substantial material or using photographs commercially requires prior written permission.

Links and responsibility

Links to official guidance and other websites are provided for context. We do not control those sites. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
